"Thousand monkeys typing on thousand typewriters will eventually create the works of Shakespeare".
Statistically this is only possible given the infinite time-frame, but if the expectation is much less can it take finite period of time?
As most of the forex companies make us believe trading forex is simple. Then why don't we adopt the saying and have monkeys trading? If it is so simple maybe thousand monkeys on thousand computers will come up with a strategy in a reasonable period of time? And then we'll be able to reap the rewards. Just imagine the slogan "Forex is easy, even a monkey can do it"
Given a shortage of monkeys (and in the off chance that it takes longer then a monkey's lifetime to master Forex trading) let's use monkey substitutes for this experiment
Randomized trading algorithms. Of course those are not real monkeys but those 1000 different algorithm have different trading patterns. Some are completely random, some use basic decision making (trade with or against trend) but none of them use more intelligent algorithms then a monkey would use.
Over the course of the experiment we will be watching the progress of our "monkeys" and posting the most successful (top 10) on the leader board for last day, last week, and last month and the corresponding
